We may be small, but we’re mighty

I’ve always loved rooting for the underdog … That team doesn’t have a chance to win? I’ll cheer louder. That guy is too short to play football? I’m buying his jersey. Our little family-owned store can’t stand up against the big guy’s low, low prices? We’ll find another way to compete.

To be honest, I kind of love being the underdog.

And I have a feeling most people prefer to support the little guys. I know it’s not always the easiest path to choose – for either the underdog themselves or those of us who like to support ‘em … Sometimes that team simply doesn’t have a chance. Sometimes the undersized receiver just can’t reach the perfect spiral. And sometimes our prices can’t match the big guys’.

But some things are more important than bright orange sale stickers or price cuts or profit margins.

When someone buys from a small, locally-owned business, they are doing more than making a simple purchase. They are supporting a family – oftentimes fueling a legacy. That pen, ream of paper or that book that was just bought does more than pad our bottom line; it goes toward the purchase of a little boy’s basketball shoes or a little girl’s gymnastics’ tuition. It funds dreams.

And that is something that Alex and I will never, ever overlook – whether you live across the street or across the country, you will be a part of our family store, and we will forever be grateful.

See what I mean? MIGHTY. We'll do front flips from the ottoman onto the couch in the middle of a photo shoot even after mom tells us to stop ... just cuz we can. MIGHTY. Or, wait, is that undisciplined. Uhhh ... We're gonna stick with the theme and go with mighty on this one.

We are happy to call ourselves underdogs, and like all little guys, we are ambitious: We are able and want to do business with you – our dear friends and our dear readers. We have access to virtually any book in print and can ship ANYWHERE and are more than happy to do so.

We accept all forms of payment over the phone and can electronically process PayPal.
